There are plenty of opportunites in San Antonio to donate your time!

VolunteerMatch is the Web's largest volunteer engagement network, with over 100,000 active nonprofits, 150 corporate partners and 13 million visitors annually.

The mission of the San Antonio Food Bank is to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education, and advocacy.

The city of San Antonio is a great place to volunteer! There are opportunities for residents to get involved in activities that enhance our community.

Started in 1991, the San Antonio ZooTEAM became the fisrt youth volunteer program at the San Antonio Zoo. Teens applying must have a drive to learn and the ability to share with the piblic information on the plants and animals in the Zoo. They should be comfortable working as a team and be looking for an opportunity to display leadership.

Youth volunteers and school administration form clubs in their school organization that allow students to participate in organized meetings and service learning projects that help their community or school. Projects are compatible with school policy and based on school needs.

Come learn about our mission and volunteer opportunities in San Antonio and surrounding areas with Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio. At our volunteer orientations you will learn more about what we do locally. You’ll also learn about how you can help with ongoing and upcoming volunteer projects. It is recommended, but not required, that first time volunteers attend an orientation.

Volunteers receive unique training by Kinetic Kids staff in the areas of developmental disability and special needs. 

 

This is the most rewarding and fun way to experience the joy of helping children with special needs! You will likely be paired with a child who needs assistance to complete the sports and recreational activities. Your presence will leave lasting memories and smiles for all children in our programs!

San Antonio's new museum for kids, The DoSeum, opened on June 6, 2015. Children learn 21st-century problem-solving skills and creativity- two important cultural and educational concepts. Through joyful learning and discovery, we grow minds, connect families and transform communities.

SAHS Volunteer Mission Statement: To provide support to the San Antonio Humane Society staff during their daily efforts to enrich the lives of thousands of animals that are brought to us each year, to help maintain a clean, disease-free environment, and to assist in Connecting Friends For Life.

Our volunteer program is committed to finding new ways of helping our friends here at the Animal Defense League (ADL). Volunteers help give hope, love and companionship to homeless dogs and cats. Whether it is walking dogs, cleaning kennels, socializing or helping in the “Fetching Finds” Thrift Shop, our volunteers are helping to save dogs and cats in our community.
