Seniors

Congrats on making it to your last year! Graduation is sooner than you think. Stay on top of those deadlines! Click on the Seniors button to take you to the page dedicated to seniors.

Juniors

  • Resumes
    • ​Have your resume up to date. You will need teachers or counselor to complete a reference or letter of recommendation for your college and scholarship applications. Providing a resume with your academic achievements and community involvement will assist them in making you sound like the outstanding individual you are!
 
  • Scholarships
    • ​Although most are for seniors, there are many that you are currently able to apply for! Sign up for scholarship databases such as BigFuture and FastWeb.
 
  • Take you SAT and ACT exams
    • ​All NISD juniors will take their SAT on campuse during the school day in the spring, free of charge!
 
  • Look at the Senior page so you get a head start!!
 

Sophomores

  • Resumes
    • ​Have your resume up to date. You will need teachers or counselor to complete a reference or letter of recommendation for your college and scholarship applications. Providing a resume with your academic achievements and community involvement will assist them in making you sound like the outstanding individual you are!
 
  • Scholarships
    • ​It's never too early to start applying for scholarships! Register with one of the databases. Click the button to the right to get started!
 
  • Volunteer
    • ​Start making your resume stand out with all of your community involvement! Make sure to document your hours; it'll come in handy your senior year when applying to colleges and scholarships.
 
  • Challenge yourself
    • ​Ask your counselor or teachers what Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Credit courses are available, whether you are eligible and how to enroll in them.
 
  • Do some research
    • ​Go to career information events to get a more detailed look at career options.
    • Research majors that might be a good fit with your interests and goals.

Freshman

  • Volunteer​
    • Get involved in school or community based activities that interest you or let you explore your interests.
 
  • Resumes
    • ​Start a resume! They are the best way to keep track of all of the activities you are involved in.
      • Do you play sports, either for the school or with an outside organization? Do you volunteer at your church or youth center? Did you receive any awards or honors? These can be added to your school resume!
 
  • Scholarships
    • ​It's never too early to start applying for scholarships! Register with one of the databases. Click the button to the right to get started!
 
  • Get involved in school
